What if I miss a dose?

In case of a missed dose, you should take another dose as soon as possible, even if that means taking 2 doses close together. Then resume your regular dosing schedule.

After you start CRENESSITY, your doctor may gradually begin to reduce your steroid dose while ensuring that you still have enough steroid to meet cortisol needs.

Lowering steroid doses while taking CRENESSITY

CRENESSITY lowers or maintains androgens, so your doctor may reduce your steroid dose after you have started CRENESSITY.

CRENESSITY does not treat cortisol insufficiency, so steroids are still needed
Talk to your doctor about a plan to reduce your steroid dose over time and make sure to continue stress dosing when you need it
Your lab values and clinical symptoms will help your doctor guide steroid dose reduction

Talk to your doctor about what to expect and how you feel as your body adjusts to a lower steroid dose
Do not stop or change your steroid dose unless your doctor says to

If your child’s doctor prescribes CRENESSITY oral solution, use the oral dosing syringe that your pharmacist will give you to measure and give the correct dose. See the Instructions for Use for CRENESSITY Oral Solution that come with the prescription for more information.

What if my child

CRENESSITY lowers or maintains androgen levels, so high steroid doses are no longer the only option to address this treatment goal. Instead, steroid doses can be lowered closer to the dose needed just to replace cortisol.
